Australian Government Capital Grants Program
The Australian Government Capital Grants Program (CGP) provides funding to independent schools to improve capital infrastructure.
The principal intention of CGP is to assist schools to improve learning outcomes for educationally disadvantaged students. Applications for capital grants may be submitted where an Approved Authority believes there is an educational and financial need for assistance.
School and Project Eligibility

Schools eligible to apply for CGP funding may also be eligible to apply for the Queensland Government State Capital Assistance Scheme (SCAS).
Making an Application
To make an application for both CGP and SCAS funds, Approved Authorities will need to submit an Excel-based application avaliable on request from the QIS BGA Office.
There are many documents and resources available to assist applicant schools to complete the application for a capital grant. Understanding the application process can also benefit the accuracy and quality of information provided by the Approved Authority through the application process.
Legislation, Guidelines and Procedures
QIS BGA implements the Australian Government's legislation and guidelines for the administration of the CGP. In addition to this, there are QIS BGA assessment principles which are used in the analysis of applications for capital assistance.
